Mallory Rhembrandt (Chadron, NE) – 2017 Chapter Scholarship Award Winner
Chadron, Nebraska – Each year the Nebraska Cornhusker Chapter awards a $1000 scholarship to a family member of one our chapter members. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior Based on academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. This years scholarship was award to Mallory Rhembrandt of Chadron, Nebraska. Mallory plans to study at the Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Nebraska and pursue a career in either nursing or business.
Mallory Rhembrandt, is the oldest of two children and grew up in the scenic northwest area of Nebraska in the City of Chadron, Nebraska. Her father is the Operations Director at the Solid Waste Agency of Northwest Nebraska and her mother is a Registered Nurse and works at the Community Hospital. As an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, she enjoys spending her free time camping, bike riding and going on weekend trips with her family and friends.
As student manger for the Chadron High School volleyball team, Mallory often proved to be dependable, consistent and detail oriented. This faithful dedication earned her a a 4-year varsity letter as an integral part of her school’s team.
Ms. Rhembrandt also participated in the Health Professions Club for three years. As an active member of the club, familiarized myself with numerous medical professions in my Mallory assited the group to organize blood drives and medical facility tour over a 3-year period.
